ANCHEER Elliptical Machine

ANCHEER Elliptical Machine

4.7Expert Score
This is a poorly made Chinese elliptical and ANCHEER just put their logo on it. If the price was under $120, this would be a good buy, but @ its current price, please stay away from this elliptical and checkout our list of best budget elliptical.

The 12lb flywheel, V-belt drive, and anti-slip pedals featured on this elliptical machine make for a smooth ride while working out. Because of the Chinese built light-weight frame, the machine is not very durable [though ANCHEER claims it can hold up to 300lbs]. The stride is too short for a good workout if you are above (height) 5’6″. The elliptical comes with a heart rate monitor and pulse display, and 8 levels of resistance. This elliptical also comes with transportation wheels for a smooth, easy way to move it around your home. The only this good about this elliptical is its transport wheel 🙁

In short, there are other better elliptical in this price range, do not waste your time with this elliptical.

🙂
PROS:

  • Magnetic elliptical! [as all over $200 elliptical should be]
  • Compact. Perfect for a smaller space
  • The transportation wheels are great for moving it around if needed

🙁
CONS:

  • Extremely bad customer support
  • “Chinese” [Poorly made] built quality
  • The frame is not very strong and durable. Though I had no problems with the machine becoming unstable or rocking while I was working out
  • This elliptical takes a long time to install, especially if doing so by yourself
  • The eight different resistances don’t vary too much, would be nice to have more tension options or have there be a larger difference between each intensity

Build Quality:

The ANCHEER elliptical machine weighs 79lbs, has a 13″ stride length, and a 12lb built-in flywheel. The two sets of handlebars have a comfortable, padded design and also feature very generic “pulse grips” to track your heart rate while working out . The pedals are 15.6″x6.3″ and are made from “non-slip material.” The flywheel, handlebars, and pedals are not worth the $260 price tag.

Assembly:

This elliptical machine can take a long time to assemble, expect to take 2-3 hours to assemble everything completely. The package includes a wrench and grease to help with assembly, and you will also need a screwdriver, adjustable wrench, and rubber hammer. The instructions are easy to follow as there are drawings of all assembly parts in the manual and they are numbered so you can easily figure out which piece they are referring to in the instructions. There are also pictures and diagrams included with the written instructions to help you along the way.

Console:

The ANCHEER elliptical machine comes with a digital LCD display panel. The display shows time, speed, distance, odometer, your pulse rate, and your target pulse rate. You can easily set and change your workout mode, adjust workout settings, and reset your workout from the console as well. The digital monitor communicates with the pulse grips located on the elliptical machine’s handlebars to get your pulse reading.

Warranty:

There is a 30-day money back guarantee to return or exchange the elliptical without additional cost. There is also a 1-year warranty on all pieces and accessories on the elliptical machine and ANCHEER will send replacement pieces free of charge should anything become damaged. But many of our readers has complaints against this product and the customer support.

My fiance recently purchased the Ancheer elliptical. The entire machine is together with the excetion of the right foot pedal. The main bolt & nut to attach the pedal to the wheel will not attach. We received 2 left bolts & need the R right bolt. The machine is inoperable without that bolt. We need that bolt & nut. It is an inexpensive solution. However, as stated it is needed to operate. Please tell me how this will be resolved. I do not want to deassemle & return. Ive worked retail & know that a bolt & nut could be pulled from another package & sent. Please provide some resolution. My fiance Thomas green has been sending emails. However, he has not been receiving solutions.

I just bought this elliptical machine through Walmart. How do I return it? When I bought it, it was listed as a generic brand that was listed at a value of $1000.00, but on sale for $245.00.

Hi Ms. Sherwin, usually Walmart has a 90-day return policy. You can return the product directly to the store (they require all original packaging). If possible go with the receipt. Here is a link from Walmart: https://tinyurl.com/y8cujbwh

You can also create an account here: https://help.walmart.com/ and Chat with Walmart support if they don’t pick up their phone: 1-800-925-6278

I’m having problems with it getting noisy. Are there things recommended I can do to resolve the issue? Should I take it apart and add oil butter or whatever they call it to the arms where they swing off the main body?

We just had the elliptical delivered today. The left bolt will not attach to the arm. Right did fine, but left is impossible.
Since we have thrown the box away and assembled the bike to this point what do we do about a return and refund???

I had this delivered on March 9 and have been using it ever since. I paid a professional to put it together. Suddenly it’s like the left pedal is stuck even on the lowest resistance I can barely peddle it it happened out of nowhere. Can anyone help I really want to use this elliptical. I emailed the company already today

The instructions on this machine are written in what was once called “Pidgin English”. Once you have muddled your way through the instructions, you will find that the monitor doesn’t work and calling Custom Service (1-626-333-4255) is a joke. They don’t answer the phone and eventually a recording will tell you that they haven’t set up a voice box and the line goes dead. If you email them, they will reply with statement “They have reported the problem to Amazon and Amazon is trying to resolve it. Please give them time.” It’s Ancheer’s crap monitor and has nothing to do with Amazon.

I got one some time ago and have been very pleased with its performance. It is stable and quiet and gives me a good workout. I don’t use a lot of the digital display features but use my iphone and app for similar information. It was difficult to assemble until I started reading the instructions. But that’s on me!!! Get one. You’ll be glad you did.

I have owned this machine for about two weeks, and while it did take some time to assemble, and the tools supplied are no better than barely adequate, I have plenty of tools myself and was able to put the machine together on my own. Yes, the instructions are obviously written by somebody without a good command of English, and there are other glitches (the distance gauge clearly works in kilometers rather than miles), it has performed well for me (225 lbs) as well as my partner (!30 lbs). The bolts should be tightened after or before each use, and the joints ought to be oiled (WD-40 works perfectly well); noises are produced when there is too much friction, so oiling is necessary. But it performs as well as machines vastly more expensive at my LifeTime gym.

We had this delivered on August’20 and have started using it. It worked well for 8-9 days. Suddenly the left pedal got stuck even at the lowest resistance so I can barely peddle it. Not able to move arms. It happened out of nowhere. Can anyone help or provide suggestion on how to fix this? We emailed the company already but haven’t heard anything from them yet.

I purchased the ancheer magnetic elliptical. It is missing the bar the attaches the handles. Can’t get any help from the customer service. I purchased this in March and still cannot use it. How can I order the part? I do not have the box so I cannot return it.

I brought this machine not even 2 years ago (yet). However, I started noticing a sqeaking noise coming from the bars. I tried to tighten the nuts and bolts as I had done before and it worked for a while but the noise came back. I brought the Assurion protection plan and was told to contact the seller (SIMPFREE). The seller wanted everything from additional information to a video (claiming it would be needed to diagnose the problem). I never heard from them again. What a way for a seller to represent themselves. NEVER buy products from SIMPFREE (seller on Amazon.com). They will not do anything but give you the run around in hopes you forget about the problem. Oh yeah, they offered to give me $20 for my inconvenience (never saw it).

DO NOT BUY!! The person that reported this machine has horrible customer support is absolutely correct. I have been speaking with so many people trying to get replacement parts for my machine because it started squeaking for a second time and tightening/loosening everything did not help. I’m still under manufacturer warranty (machine is just about 1 yrs old) and Amazon, nor the seller SIMPFREE, or Ancheer have tried to get me the replacement parts I need. I was willing to pay for the parts but no one is honoring the manufacturer warranty (not even Ancheer). I am looking into legal action because I have a protection plan I payed for and even if I didn’t have one, Ancheer does not care about me as someone with their product that can make or break them just by giving negative reviews.

NOISY…NOISY….NOISY. The trainer creaks and groans. It is so noisy that you cannot listen to music while exercising. I even tried applying marine grease to all the joints, and the noise did not decrease. The display is super primitive, the pulse detectors only give you an estimate of your pulse (it takes 90 seconds to register the pulse). The difference between the different levels of friction is minimal. This is a $120 piece of equipment that you should NEVER buy if you live in an apartment…it drives the neighbors crazy…(trust me, I know that from personal experience).

I got this for Christmas. When I went to assemble it the main wire was cut. I have attempted multiple times to get customer service and no one is responding. I plan to return this but definitely will never buy from Ancheer again.

Horrible!! DO NOT BUY!!! It came with only the main parts but no hardware to assemble it and no instruction manual. We tried for 3 months to get them to send us the hardware after we printed the owners manual off using lots of printer ink…which isn’t cheap! We never received the hardware despite at least 10 promises to send it and offers to give us part of our money back but they would not let us return it for a full refund! At one point they suggested we sell it to a friend!! Wow…some friend I would be to sell them a machine that can’t be put together! Such a terrible company!! Avoid at all cost!!!!!

Customer service is horrible-they answer you but not really… We only needed a replacement spindle and they jacked us around and around. Finally went to Paypal who initiated a return for me but I don’t have original packaging and will probably be charged return shipping. Taking it to the UPS store for repackaging.

I had a really bad experience with this. The resistance stopped working 5 minutes after using it. Horrible customer service. They have denied free shipping to return and have denied a refund. Waste of time and money.

CHEAP FOR A REASON. The display is total crap. Pulse monitor is a joke. You really have to tighten the bolts and screws to reduce squeaking, which never really goes away. But the real problem is the pedal motion is not smooth. All the vendor (in China) does is ask for videos and pictures.

Assembly was a nightmare! We got bent parts and broken parts. Very poor quality. Would not recommend to anyone. I would give this a 0 star if I could.
