The trainer is quite solid, flexible and equipped with all the necessary accessories needed to keep you cool, hydrated and informed about the progress you are making through workout.

Schwinn 470 Elliptical machine combines up to 29 different programs including some customizable ones that are professionally designed to ensure dynamic workout experience for the users to get expected results within a reasonable period of time.
Smooth and Less Noise
There are 25 levels of eddy current resistance (ECB) in this machine. Additionally, sometimes I put some extra resistance by using the five recline options. The machine also has a very simple control panel to shift from one resistance to another. The high speed and high inertia perimeter weighted flywheels ensures that you will have a smooth experience while working out and there will be very little noise.
The angled moving handlebars of this machine help me to find the most comfortable hand position while working out. To make it even spicier, they have these acoustic chamber speakers where you can listen to your favorite tracks with top quality sound while exercising. They also have 3 speed fan that keeps me cool and up bit while exercising. An oversized water bottle holder is also there so that you can keep yourself hydrated by easily reaching to your water bottle whenever needed.
Stride and footplates
The trainer has a 20” Precision Path™ stride length, a 10° manual ramp range consisting 6 different positions and oversized footplates. Now I think having large footplates is very important for this kind of elliptical as this will allow you to try out different foot positions while exercising.
Schwinn 470 Elliptical has a capacity up to 300 lbs. A solid platform is ensured through a center frame support and two integrated levelers. Additional stability is ensured through the oversized crossbar tubing. The trainer has transport wheels to enhance mobility. I found this highly advantageous as I can move it from one room to another very easily which makes it a very flexible machine to have in my house.
You can hire professionals to assemble the trainer or can do it all by yourself. The manual includes everything that you need to know about the process to get it altogether. A team of two can easily get it all assembled within a couple of hours.
Heart Rate Monitor
This machine is telemetry heart rate enabled. However it doesn’t include the chest strap, now that’s a bummer to me.
There are two blue backlit LCD window Systems included with this trainer. I can monitor up to thirteen different display feedbacks. You can monitor data for time, distance, pulse, calorie burn, goal achievement, user indicator etc. on the display that will help you to plan your workout and monitor progress closely.
I think by far, the Schwinn 470 Elliptical is one of the most dynamic machines to workout with considering 29 different programs that are installed in the system. It includes twelve profiles, nine heart rate control divided into four Beginner, four Advanced and one Custom control, four custom user defined, one quick start, one recovery test and two fitness test (1 Beginner and 1 Advanced).
This trainer comes with a 10 year Frame Warranty, 1-year electrical warranty and 2 year mechanical warranty. It also includes 90 days of labor warranty. To me, the labor warranty is a downside with the deal considering that other trainers usually comes with a one year labor warranty.
I think the biggest catch with this Schwinn® 470 Elliptical machine is its highly dynamic programs. It allows me to focus on different muscle groups while working out. In addition to this, the noiseless exercising and flexible handlebars and foot paddles also makes it easier to work with. Altogether, it is a pretty decent machine.
