Build Quality
Like many other Endurance elliptical models, E5000 was also made out of the patented center drive design and is a complete blend of stability and efficiency. Assembly
It is recommended by the manufacturer that you go for a professional to take care of the assembly. It took us about an hour and a half to completely assemble the entire trainer. It was not that complicated. However, do not try to do that all by yourself. At least two individuals are needed to get the job done. We have gone though the owner’s manual carefully. It is quite thorough and clear. So assembling the whole thing should not be a big deal.
Heart rate monitor
Heart rate is monitored and displayed on the screen through the use of heart rate chest strap. The wireless heart rate monitor can work with five preset training programs. The chest strap comes with the machine so you don’t have to buy it separately.
Display
The touch screen display is highly interactive and easy to use. The display shows duration, speed, calorie burned, pulse, stride, distance, levels and calories burned per hour. In addition to that, you can also choose the program that you are willing to work out with. Overall, the display is pretty much interactive.
Programs
Despite being branded as a premium elliptical, the E5000 doesn’t offer anything too extra ordinary with its workout programs. Just like the other models, it also has seven training programs including to customizable ones. It has 6 preset programs: Mountain, Hill, Random, Interval Speed training, Interval, Interval Mountain.
The E5000 comes with 5 Heart Rate Programs to boost your cardio workout. These are: Target Heart Rate, Cardio HR 80%, Fat Burn HR 65%, Hill HR 65-85% and Interval HR 65-85%.
Warranty
Endurance E5000 Premium Elliptical offers lifetime Frame warranty, five year warranty for the parts (three years for commercial use) and one year labor warranty. So just like the other Endurance trainers, this model also comes with a pretty decent warranty package.
Overall we found the preset professional training programs to be quite impressive but we expected it to have more variations in the programs considering this to be a premium workout machine. However, the trainer is pretty solid, durable and strong that’s for sure though it is important to keep in mind that you can find other models with more preset programs within the given price range.
