Build Quality

The Nautilus E514c is built with comfort in mind. With its many features and biomechanically correct design, this machine will not only allow the user to workout, but get the most from their workout. However, the frame itself is flimsier than many in this price range, and only offers a 10 year warranty. The weight limit is 300 pounds, and the machine can be wobbly as this limit is reached.

Assembly

It is suggested that two people assemble this machine due to its weight. The assembly itself is simple and straightforward however, and should allow the user to be working out in no time.

Heart Rate Monitor

The Nautilus E514c Elliptical Trainer features a telemetric enabled heart rate monitor without a strap. The user can track their heart rate on the backlit LCD monitor that is built into the machine’s console.

Display and Console

This elliptical’s console features a 3 speed fan, 21 preset programs, 2 user settings, a water bottle holder, a reading rack, speakers, a heart rate monitor, and a large LCD window with a multicolored brickyard. The backlit LCD displays the user’s heart rate, time, interval time, RPMs, watts, distance traveled, speed, calories burned, resistance level and course profile.

Programs

The Nautilus E514c features 21 preset programs and 2 user settings. This allows the users to choose the workout program that is best for them, and 2 different users can track their individual workouts and results.

Warranty

The E514c’s frame features a 10 year warranty, the parts feature a 2 year warranty, and their is a 90 day warranty on labor. This is usual for this price range, but still leaves much to be desired.
