18″ Stride

The stride length of this machine is 18″. Though this machine cannot accommodate tall people, it is perfect for those who are about 5 feet 8 inches. If you need a higher stride length then you need to spend nearly double.

Oversized cushioned pedals

The oversized foot pedals are cushioned and gives a firm support to our feet. This reduces the pressure on the ankles during the workout and provides stability to the feet.

Soundless Magnetic Resistance

This machine has a very smooth resistance system with 14 digital resistance levels, which permitted us to change the intensity levels very easily without any disruption.

Adjustable leveling feet

This feature keeps the elliptical firm even if it is placed on an uneven surface. So we could place this machine practically anywhere in the house.

Compatible with the iPod

The ProForm 7.0 RE has a stylish design. It is made from high quality material and is very durable .With the user capacity of 250 pounds; it offers a good performance and long life. The length of this elliptical is 72 inches and weighs just 145 pounds. It also has transport wheels. As this machine is light weight, compact and has wheels, it is easy to place the machine anywhere in the house. This trainer has an improved inertia flywheel to give a smooth and effective workout.

Assembly

Though it may seem quite simple, it is complicated to assemble this trainer. You should not even think of assembling this machine without helping hands. We suggest you to get this machine assembled by a professional who will save your time and energy. It took us two and half hours to assemble the trainer. The product manual is easy to understand and follow if you are planning to assemble the piece all by yourself.

Heart Rate Monitor

The EKG Heart rate monitor helped us to maintain our target heart rate. There are built-in sensors in the grips of handles. The heart rate is displayed when we held the handles for a few seconds. This may not be very accurate as the wireless strap machines which are costlier.

Display

The ProForm 7.0 RE has a blue LCD monitor. This easy-to-read monitor displays the time, calories burnt, distance, heart rate, resistance level and speed. It has buttons to change the resistance levels and select the applications. This blue display is not very clear in the night time though which is a downside.

Programs

Designed by certified professionals, there are 14 in-built workout programs. Out of which, seven are Weight loss and the other seven programs are for Cardio. When we selected the programs it automatically adjusted the level of resistance and gave us faster results. The navigation of these apps is very simple and within no time we could select the suitable program and get started. Warranty

The company offers a 5 year warranty for the frame, and 90 day for Parts and Labor. This is a fair warranty offered by the company as compared to other brands available in the market at this low price.

ProForm 7.0 RE Elliptical Trainer is an entry level Elliptical with the strong and reliable brand name. This trainer has many good features like rear drive, Soundless Magnetic Resistance, Oversized cushioned pedals etc. to offer. But if you are an exercise buff we would suggest you to put in some extra funds and buy a little more versatile trainer. Also there is a height constraint in using this trainer. This type of machines are suitable for people who are especially beginners. Overall you can still enjoy the workouts with this sturdy and stylish machine.
