Build Quality
This machine is built out of high-quality steel, and is sturdy enough to hold up to 275 pounds. This is extremely impressive, considering the machine itself only weighs in at 84 pounds. It has an 18 inch stride that is perfect for most users, and features dual action handlebars which truly offer a full body workout. Its compact design even offers wheels that make it extremely easy to move for storing or convenience.
Assembly
The assembly for this machine is best suited for two people, but one person can assemble the elliptical in roughly 2 hours. The instruction manual is clear and well written, and most of your parts arrive pre-greased, although you may want to have some lubricant on hand for the rest of the parts.
Heart Rate Monitor
The elliptical tracks your heart rate through the hand sensors, and unfortunately, these have been shown time and time again to be inaccurate. The hand pulse sensors are in the handles. In order to use them, make sure that your hands are wrapped firmly around them as you work out.
Display and Console
The LCD screened console is always a nice touch when considering an elliptical. The Exerpeutic 500 features a 12 workout programmable computer that display the time, the distance you’ve traveled, your RPM, watts, your heart rate, and even allows for 4 individual settings that allow everyone in your household to keep track of their individual workouts and achievements.
Mobile App Tracking
This elliptical utilized myCloudFitness app for sync with your mobile devices. It automatically logs your exercise data and stores in your cloud account. You can create goals, monitor your heart rate, customize exercise program or manually log other activities to have a bird’s eye view of your health.
You can download both iOs and Android app from here:
Programs
Even though there are no preset programs on the machine, the Mobile App Tracking feature allows you to create and track your workouts as you see fit. You can use whatever app works best for you to truly experience the workout you want with the achievements you wish to reach.
Warranty
The Exerpeutic 5000 “Mobile App Tracking” Elliptical Trainer’s frame features a 1 year limited warranty, and the parts have a 90 day warranty. This is unfortunately a shorter warranty for this price range.

what is the difference between Exerpeurtic 1318 5000 magnetic elliptical and fitness reality E5500LX magnetic elliptical?
Julie Hollingsworth –
This isn’t below $400, please don’t mislead people.

I examined both ellipticals as well. The Exerpeurtic is like the ones in the gym. The Fitness reality is like ridiing a bike. Go with the Exerpeurtic, you will love it. I just got it and can’t believe how smooth and quiet it is.
